Life Village Planning Agency Recruits 20, Pet Sitters 30, Total 50; Local Job Experts Trained... Graduates Receive Certificates and Job Placement Benefits Linked with Job Plus Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is recruiting participants for advanced and expert training courses in job education tailored to the region until June 19, aimed at creating customized jobs for local residents.
This project was prepared to nurture skilled professionals through free advanced and expert training courses for participants in the Life Village Planner and Petsitter training projects, as part of a city-district upward and cooperative job creation initiative.
First, participants for the Life Village Planner advanced and expert training course are being recruited.
The Life Village Planner is a job project that plans, conducts, or supports small but meaningful village events such as birthday parties and small weddings. This year, 20 residents will be recruited, with preference given to last year’s Life Village Planner participants.
The training will be held at Job Studio (10, Dongjak-daero 25-gil) from June 29 to September 24, three days a week starting at 9 a.m. The curriculum includes courses by specialized instructors in areas such as ▲Understanding Village Cultural Planning ▲Catering Service ▲Balloon Art and Event Planning & Operation ▲SNS Online Marketing.
Last year, 18 trained Life Village Planners engaged in various activities such as ▲planning children’s flea markets ▲conducting birthday parties at local daycare centers ▲participating in welfare-sharing festival experience booths.
Additionally, as the number of households raising companion animals steadily increases, the district is recruiting participants for the Petsitter advanced and expert training courses.
The training targets 30 residents, recruiting 15 each for two courses: Pet Fashion Expert and Pet Food Stylist, with preference given to those who completed last year’s Petsitter training project.
The Pet Fashion Expert course, covering pet clothing and accessory production, will be held four days a week from 2 p.m., June 25 to August 28. The Pet Food Stylist course, teaching how to make handmade pet snacks, will be held four days a week from 9 a.m., July 16 to September 17.
These courses will be conducted at the Dongjak-gu Job Plus Center with experts from the companion animal industry, including common marketing and entrepreneurship education to facilitate smooth employment and startup for petsitters.
Residents wishing to participate should bring application forms and job registration certificates to the Dongjak-gu Job Policy Division in person or submit them via email to the person in charge.
The district will issue certificates of completion to trainees and connect them with job opportunities through the Dongjak-gu Job Plus Center and other channels.
Jinhui Jo, Director of the Job Policy Division, said, “We will continue to provide jobs tailored to residents’ needs and regional characteristics, offering employment opportunities for various groups facing difficulties in finding jobs.”
