Suwon City Provides 19 Million KRW Support to 19 Businesses Disclosing 'Confirmed Patient Movement'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will provide special consolation payments to 19 small business operators whose establishments were listed in the 'confirmed patient movement paths' before the patients were diagnosed with COVID-19.
On the 22nd, Suwon City announced that following the support of 3.5 million KRW (1 million KRW each) to 35 locations included in the confirmed patient movement paths on March 25, it will pay 1 million KRW each (totaling 19 million KRW) to 19 locations in the second round by the 26th of this month.
This support fund is a designated donation from corporations and organizations intended to help small business owners and vulnerable groups struggling due to the COVID-19 crisis.
The city contacts the businesses listed in the 'confirmed patient movement paths' to guide them on the support, and upon application by the businesses, the Suwon City Social Welfare Council distributes the funds.
The consolation payments will continue until the donated funds are exhausted.

A city official emphasized, "Suwon City thoroughly disinfects and sterilizes establishments visited by confirmed patients, so people can use them with confidence," adding, "We will support small business owners who have suffered unexpected damages to overcome their difficulties."
