The '2020 Resident Proposal Small-scale Regeneration Project' is a program that selects and supports small-scale point regeneration projects promoted by local communities in areas that meet the designation requirements for urban regeneration activation areas, focusing on unit projects that can be completed within 1 to 2 years.
Seongdong-gu's Songjeong-dong 'Songjeong 10-gil Alley Maintenance Project' and Sageun-dong 'Sageun-dong Try Anything Store' urban regeneration activation projects were selected in this competition.
This small-scale regeneration project selected 60 sites nationwide, with national funding ranging from a minimum of 50 million KRW to a maximum of 200 million KRW per project. With this selection, the district secured 250 million KRW in national funds.
The 'Songjeong 10-gil Alley Maintenance Project' aims to create a smart alley where analog and digital harmonize, actively addressing fine dust resolution, heat reduction, and quarantine by utilizing smart technologies such as automatic mist spraying.
Additionally, by tearing down alley walls to create 'pocket rest areas,' it plans to revitalize the alley community where residents can gather and interact.
The Sageun-dong 'Sageun-dong Try Anything Store' regeneration project aims to establish a community hub space for sustainable community foundations where residents actively participate and communicate.
To facilitate smooth collection of residents' opinions and encourage participation, a multipurpose resident community space will be created, and various programs will be operated to discover cultural content and specialized products that reflect the identity of the area, blending youth and residents.
