Lee Seon-bin, Legal Dispute with Agency... Agency "Received Unilateral Contract Termination Notice"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Actress Lee Seon-bin (26) is in conflict with her agency over an exclusive contract issue.
On the 21st, the legal representative of Lee Seon-bin's agency Wellmade STAR M stated, "The company signed an exclusive contract with Lee Seon-bin in 2016, and the contract is currently valid," adding, "However, Lee Seon-bin unilaterally notified contract termination in September 2018 and has continued independent entertainment activities."
It was also explained that during this process, Lee Seon-bin filed a complaint against the company's CEO, but the case was closed due to lack of charges.
The legal representative said, "Lee Seon-bin seriously damaged the reputation of the company and its CEO by filing baseless false accusations against the CEO."
The company is known to have sent a certified letter demanding Lee Seon-bin promptly correct her breach of the exclusive contract.
The agency reportedly urged her to disclose her entertainment activities and income since the unilateral contract termination notice in September 2018 and to carry out the settlement procedures.
The legal representative emphasized, "We hope Lee Seon-bin will no longer violate the exclusive contract or repeatedly damage the reputation of the company and its CEO," adding, "If corrective actions are not taken within the specified period, we will pursue not only legal measures but also criminal liability for false accusations."
