[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The first qualification exam of the year will be held on the 23rd at 13 testing centers across Seoul.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced that a total of 6,088 candidates will take the exam, including 434 for elementary school equivalency, 1,159 for middle school equivalency, and 4,495 for high school equivalency. Among them, 46 persons with disabilities and 19 inmates will also take the test.
All candidates must bring their admission ticket and ID on the exam day. For filling out the answer sheet, elementary school equivalency candidates should prepare a black ballpoint pen, while middle and high school equivalency candidates should use a water-based pen suitable for computer grading. If the exam includes a lunch break, candidates should also prepare a packed lunch and drinking water.
The Office of Education has confirmed whether any of the candidates are confirmed COVID-19 cases or subject to self-quarantine, and has established an emergency contact system with the local health center to respond to any symptomatic individuals on the exam day. If candidates wish to take the exam, they can do so in a separate room at each testing center.
