[Asia Economy Golf Specialist Reporter Kim Hyun-jun] "Starting in July."
The Korean Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Korean Tour will begin its 2020 season starting with the Woosung Construction Aramir CC Busan Gyeongnam Open on July 2. On the 20th, KPGA announced that "a total of 11 tournaments will be held." Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), no tournaments have been held since the season opener, the DB Insurance Pro-Am Open in April. It is especially regrettable that the June 'National Title' Korean Open was canceled early on.
Following the Busan Gyeongnam Open, the schedule includes the Gunsan CC Open (July 9?12), KPGA Open (July 16?19), KPGA Championship (August 6?9), Maeil Business Newspaper Open (August), Ildong Lake Club Open (August 27?30), Shinhan Donghae Open (September 10?13), IS Industrial Development Open (September 17?20), Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyung-ju Invitational (September 24?27), Genesis Championship (October 8?11), and Players Championship (November 5?8).
