Only schools in the Incheon area, where attendance has been suspended due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), will take the exam remotely without attending school.
On the 20th, the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it made this decision in consultation with the Ministry of Education that afternoon.
Accordingly, third-year students at 66 high schools in Michuhol-gu, Jung-gu, Dong-gu, Namdong-gu, and Yeonsu-gu must take the academic evaluation exam at home. Students taking the exam can download the test papers posted on the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education website according to the exam schedule.
These schools also plan to continue remote classes without resuming attendance throughout this week.
In Incheon, two third-year high school students were confirmed positive for COVID-19 at 6 a.m. today. As a result, nearby schools were initially suspended from attending, but since it was reported that many students had contact with the infected students, the attendance suspension was extended to all high schools in the five districts.
