Gyeonggi Urban公, 'Fire Response Drill' at Gyeonggi-do Gwanggyo New Government Building Construction Site
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] On the 20th, Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation conducted an emergency fire response drill at the construction site of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office in Gwanggyo New Town, Suwon.
The drill was organized to prevent accidents at construction sites similar to the recent Icheon logistics warehouse fire and to ensure rapid initial response in case of fire. About 300 personnel from Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation, Suwon Fire Station, Construction Project Management Team, and contractors participated in the drill.
The drill simulated a fire outbreak and proceeded in the order of ▲initial response and emergency situation communication ▲emergency evacuation ▲fire suppression ▲first aid training (cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automated external defibrillator).
A representative of Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation emphasized, "There are many hazards at construction sites, and we will do our best to create a safe working environment through continuous preventive activities and education."
