Jeonbuk Province Aims to Attract 110 Food Companies... "Let's Go~"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Gominhyeong] Jeonbuk Province is drawing attention as it strengthens basic infrastructure while aiming to attract more than 100 food companies within the National Food Cluster this year.
According to the province on the 20th, it plans to target promising domestic and international food companies and pursue an investment attraction goal of 110 companies this year.
Among them, the province plans to strengthen investment attraction activities linked with the Sauce Industrialization Center, targeting sauce companies including seasoning foods such as dressings and salted seafood, which have recently shown an upward trend in the domestic sauce market.
Currently, the domestic sauce market growth rate is relatively high, averaging 16.9%.
From 2.1356 trillion KRW in 2013, it grew to 2.4965 trillion KRW in 2017, showing a growth of about 350 billion KRW over four years.
Along with this, the province has a strategy to actively attract related companies by supporting corporate difficulties and advanced technology in connection with the existing packaging center for home meal replacement (HMR) production companies, which are receiving the greatest interest in the food industry.
With the target set, attention is also focused on improving residential conditions.
Various convenience facilities and cultural welfare supports to improve the residential conditions and working environment for employees of resident companies are gradually increasing.
The province plans to invest 4 billion KRW by next year to build a ‘Complex Cultural Center’ that includes convenience and welfare facilities lacking in the industrial complex.
Employee welfare benefits will also be strengthened.
