Haenam-gun Operates Mobile Task Force for Illegal Waste Dumping Crackdown and Collection
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 19th that it will strengthen the crackdown on illegal dumping of household waste by operating a mobile task force for waste dumping control and collection.
Since the 4th, the county has been operating a mobile task force for illegal waste dumping control, handling and cracking down on illegal waste dumping along major roads and in the Haenam-eup urban area.
The task force, consisting of two members, operates continuously, conducting guidance and crackdowns mainly in habitual illegal dumping areas at night, unlike before when crackdowns were concentrated during daytime hours.
In addition, intensive crackdowns will be conducted on habitual illegal dumping areas that have accumulated over several years around markets, commercial areas, and one-room apartments.
Also, acts such as discarding cigarette butts or portable trash in front of marts or from vehicles are included in the crackdown targets, and violators will be fined up to 1 million won for illegal dumping.
