Gokseong-gun Hosts '2020 Innovation Idea Contest'
By the 10th of next month, 10 outstanding ideas to be selected with top prize of 500,000 won each
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 19th that it is collecting innovative ideas for the development of county administration until the 10th of next month.
To this end, the county has been holding the '2020 Innovation Idea Contest' since the 13th, with participation from both the public and private sectors. The contest is seeking ideas related to the realization of six county administration operation policies: local economy, cultural tourism, creative education, future agriculture, network welfare, and inspiring administration.
In addition, reflecting the increased necessity for non-face-to-face (untact) administration due to COVID-19, ideas are also being collected regarding the normalization of untact policies across all administrative fields.
Anyone interested in innovative policies and county administration development is eligible to apply. Those who wish to participate can submit their ideas by email, mail, or visit (50, Gunchung-ro, Gokseong-gun, Planning Office, Gokseong-gun) by June 10th.
The county plans to select the top 10 ideas through departmental review and expert evaluation by July. One grand prize winner will receive 500,000 won in Gokseong Simcheong gift certificates, a local currency. Three winners of the excellence award will each receive 300,000 won in Simcheong gift certificates, and six winners of the encouragement award will each receive 100,000 won in Simcheong gift certificates.

Through the contest, Gokseong-gun aims to incorporate brilliant innovative ideas into county administration to provide administrative services that satisfy residents even more. It also expects to contribute to the recovery of the local economy, which has been stagnated due to COVID-19, and to prepare measures for the post-COVID-19 era.
