Hyundai Motor-BTS Global Hydrogen Campaign Video Surpasses 100 Million Views
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 19th that the special global hydrogen campaign video filmed with BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) to commemorate Earth Day surpassed 100 million views in just 27 days.
First released on Hyundai Motor's worldwide YouTube channel on the 22nd of last month, this video conveys the importance of 'sustainability' to pass on the beautiful nature to the next generation and delivers a message about hydrogen. Notably, this video has attracted global attention by achieving 100 million views in the shortest time among Hyundai Motor's brand campaign videos.
Since January, Hyundai Motor has been conducting a global hydrogen campaign under the slogan 'Because of You' with BTS, promoting the eco-friendliness and sustainability of future clean energy hydrogen.
In the video, BTS members harmonize with nature, emphasizing the everyday language that nature offers. Toward the end of the video, the hydrogen electric vehicle Nexo, which emits no pollutants, appears, conveying the value of the positive energy of hydrogen and Hyundai Motor's vision for a better future.
A Hyundai Motor official explained that the reason this special video achieved a high number of views in a short period is not only due to BTS's visual appeal but also because the meaning of the 'precious languages of beautiful nature' in the video was sincerely conveyed to the millennial generation, creating empathy.
The millennial generation, born from the early 1980s to the early 2000s, leads conscious consumption that values environmental and social impacts when purchasing products. In this context, Hyundai Motor's hydrogen campaign is also receiving positive responses from millennials. A Hyundai Motor official stated, "We will continue to present various activities with BTS that sincerely promote eco-friendliness and sustainability."
