Hanacard Launches Mobile-Only Digital Card 'Modu-ui Shopping'
Launch of Mobile-Only Card with Contactless Application Aligned with Post-COVID-19 Untact Trend
Offering Benefits for Online and Offline Shopping Categories through Big Data Analysis and Hosting Half-Price Booster Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Hana Card announced on the 19th that it will launch the 'Modu-ui Shopping' card, ambitiously prepared under the slogan 'Joy for Everyone, That One for Hana.'
This card is released as a mobile-only card centered on digital issuance channels, utilizing the all-around digital services throughout the card usage process that Hana Card has prepared to suit the non-face-to-face (untact) consumption environment brought about by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Through big data analysis, the card offers basic benefits in frequently used online and offline shopping sectors by Hana Card customers, and provides additional benefits through a half-price booster event. As basic benefits, if the usage amount exceeds 300,000 KRW last month, users can receive ▲10% points accumulation on major online shopping malls (Coupang, 11st, Gmarket, Auction, Wemakeprice, Interpark, Ticket Monster) (up to 10,000 Hana Money points per month) ▲5% points accumulation on marts (E-Mart, Homeplus, Lotte Mart), department stores (Shinsegae, Lotte, Hyundai Department Store), and furniture (IKEA) (up to 10,000 Hana Money points per month) ▲5% points accumulation on premium outlets such as Lotte, Shinsegae, and Hyundai Premium Outlets (up to 10,000 Hana Money points per month).
To commemorate the card launch, Hana Card will simultaneously hold the half-price booster event until the end of July and plans to continue various booster events thereafter. Separate from the basic benefits, the event offers 50% points accumulation on major online shopping malls (Coupang, 11st, Gmarket, Auction, Wemakeprice, Interpark, Ticket Monster) (up to 50,000 Hana Money points per month), 50% points accumulation on dining expenses during lunchtime (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) (up to 10,000 Hana Money points per month), and 50% points accumulation on Netflix usage over 10,000 KRW (Hana Money).
The annual fee is 15,000 KRW for both domestic and international use, and card applications are issued as mobile-only cards through the Hana Card website and mobile app. They can be registered on 1Q, Samsung Pay, KakaoPay, etc., and used immediately at online and offline merchants.
