ARMY, Hyundai Main Store Exclusive Shop Opening
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Samsung C&T Fashion Division's French designer brand Ami announced on the 19th that it has opened a menswear store on the 4th floor of Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong Main Branch in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The Ami menswear exclusive store located in Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong Main Branch is 48㎡ (approximately 14.5 pyeong) in size and applies a global retail concept designed by Paris-based architectural design studio KO.
Based on an overall wood tone, oak material and geometric patterns are applied to the floor and furniture to create Ami's unique friendly and comfortable atmosphere. In addition, the heart logo representing Ami in the center of the store is coated with a gold color to add a distinctive feel.
The Ami store showcases not only the Spring/Summer season collection but also the Fall collection in advance. It offers a variety of items ranging from the best-selling 'Heart Collection' including heart logo T-shirts and shirts to stylish and neat pants, shorts, leather bags, and baseball caps.
Especially this season, products featuring a heart embroidery logo connected by a line, in addition to the existing red and black heart patches, were released for the first time. The heart embroidery logo gives a simpler feel and became a popular item as soon as it was launched.
The 'Leather Bag Collection' was also introduced for the first time. Ami's leather bags are made of sturdy cowhide material and feature a metal heart logo as a point. They come in two styles: mini accordion bag and small box bag, and can be used as crossbody, clutch, or belt bags.
Ami is currently operating in over 350 locations worldwide, including flagship stores, major select shops, and department stores. Last year, the brand expanded by launching a womenswear line.
In Korea, Ami is sold at 10 Corso Como Seoul Cheongdam Branch, AvenueL, Galleria Department Store Apgujeong Branch, Hyundai Department Store Trade Center Branch, and Samsung C&T Fashion Division's integrated online mall SSF Shop.
Song Aeda, team leader of 10 Corso Como, said, "Ami is loved by all generations as a comfortable item like a friend that can be enjoyed in everyday life, embodying Parisian sensibility," adding, "Through the exclusive store that implements Ami's DNA, we will provide domestic consumers with a friendly and pleasant brand experience."

Ami is a brand established in 2011 by French menswear designer Alexandre Mattiussi, who previously worked for Dior and Givenchy. Inspired by the city of Paris, the brand aims to present collections that anyone can wear, steadily building a loyal fan base each season. Breaking the boundary between casual and chic, Ami offers friendly and witty collections true to the brand name meaning 'friend.'
