[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 18th at 2 PM, district council members of Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young), members of the Airport Noise Countermeasure Committee, and residents of Yangcheon-gu adopted a resolution to withdraw the increase of international flights at Gimpo Airport in the Gonggam Planning Room on the 4th floor of Yangcheon-gu Office.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided on the 15th to allocate 25 international routes on an as-needed basis to 9 airlines.

In response, Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, "It is unfair to force greater sacrifices on residents who have suffered from aircraft noise for decades," and added, "We will mobilize all possible measures to prevent the expansion of routes."
