Jeonbuk Province Supports Quality Innovation and Process Improvement for SMEs

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Gominhyeong] Jeonbuk Province and the Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of the Korea Standards Association announced on the 18th that they have finalized the selection of five participating companies for the ‘Creative SME Quality Innovation Process Improvement Project’ and will begin full-scale support.
The ‘SME Quality Innovation Process Improvement’ project identifies problems faced by companies through innovation activities conducted by self-formed teams and expert guidance, and solves these problems through small-scale process improvements.
From June 6 to 24 last month, a total of 11 companies applied to participate, and after on-site inspections, five participating companies were finally selected.
Each participating company will receive 25 million KRW, totaling 125 million KRW in support.

Jeon Byeong-sun, Director of the Innovation Growth Industry Bureau of the province, said, “Continuous innovation and quality improvement activities by small and medium manufacturing enterprises will not only strengthen corporate competitiveness but also greatly help revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19.”
