Jeonbuk Province, "Searching for a Millennium of Jeonbuk History!" Collecting Private Records...
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Gominhyeong] Jeonbuk Province is collecting historical records related to Jeonbuk that are privately held and have high historical value.
According to the province on the 18th, the Jeonbuk Records Collection Contest, now in its third year, is being held under the theme "Searching for a Thousand Years of History in Jeollabuk-do" until the 24th of next month.
Anyone can participate in the contest.
The collection targets include documents related to major policies and projects of the province and cities/counties, audiovisual records (photos, videos, etc.), and artifacts (posters, souvenirs, etc.).
Additionally, photos related to streets, buildings, and major events in cities/counties before 1990 are also subject to collection.
To apply, download the application form from the Jeonbuk Province website and submit it by visiting the General Affairs Division of the provincial office in person, or by mail or email (nextia1020@korea.kr).
The submitted records will be reviewed by experts, and 13 winners will be selected and announced in July.
Winners will receive gift certificates ranging from 150,000 to 1,000,000 KRW, and all donors of records will be awarded donation certificates. An exhibition is planned for September.
