On the 16th (Korean time), Klopp told the British public broadcaster 'BBC', "Football originally started without fans," adding, "We don't love football because of the stadium atmosphere."
He continued, "After becoming professional, players receive support from fans worldwide, but the game exists because of the love for football itself."
He added, "Of course, having spectators is the ideal environment. However, the beauty and fun of football are not significantly hindered by matches without spectators," and expressed hope that "the moment everyone has been waiting for (the league's resumption) will come soon."
He also said, "I really hope the Bundesliga can complete the remaining matches without issues," and "I hope the Premier League will resume the season soon as well."
Meanwhile, the EPL decided to suspend the league in March due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.
