The Content Promotion Agency to Host 'Online Music Journey - Trip to K-Pop' at 7 PM from the 19th to 21st
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] K-pop musicians are stepping up to comfort and support people around the world who are struggling due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The online concert "Lansun Music Journey - Trip to K-pop," hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, will be held from the 19th to the 21st.
Trip to K-pop was organized to support musicians who lost their performance stages due to the impact of COVID-19 and to offer a K-pop journey that people worldwide can enjoy online. The Korea Creative Content Agency will conduct a non-face-to-face (untact) live broadcast from the CKL Stage.
During the event period at 7 p.m., the 80-minute live concert can be viewed on various platforms including the Korea Creative Content Agency's official YouTube channel, Naver V Live, LG Uplus's U+IdolLive app, YouTube's "The K-Pop" channel, SBS MTV, and SBS F!L. The U+IdolLive app also provides an opportunity for musicians and fans to communicate directly through real-time chat.
On the 19th, performances will be by ▲iKON ▲Soran ▲BIBI ▲Natti. On the 20th, ▲Kim Jae-hwan ▲April ▲Daybreak ▲Hong Isaak will perform. On the 21st, ▲Oh My Girl ▲Bumming Tiger ▲Samuel Seo ▲Martin Smith ▲KARD will take the stage. B1A4's Sandeul, who has honed his hosting skills as the radio DJ of "Starry Night," will serve as the MC. The musicians will also deliver a message of overcoming COVID-19 and encouragement with "We shall overcome."
After the concert, the recorded performance will be broadcast to over 20 Asian countries through MTV ASIA. Clips of the concert will also be available on the Korea Creative Content Agency's official Naver TV channel.
Kim Young-jun, head of the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "The Trip to K-pop concert is a message of support and encouragement delivered through K-pop to people around the world exhausted by COVID-19," adding, "Starting with this concert, we will continuously create opportunities for K-pop to communicate with people worldwide in the post-COVID era."
