Gyeonggi-do Achieves 'Sold Out' for 13 Consecutive Times at Special Sale Event for COVID-19 Affected Agricultural Products
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province's special discount event to support local farms in overcoming COVID-19 continues its "sold-out march." Sales have exceeded 1.4 billion KRW in just two months.
The Gyeonggi Agricultural and Food Distribution Promotion Institute announced on the 17th that at the special sales event for agricultural specialties held on the afternoon of the 16th at the Paju Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Plaza parking lot, conducted via drive-thru, they sold 3.6 tons of goods worth 14,819,000 KRW, including vegetable bundles, rice, grains, and flowers.
Sales paid with local currency amounted to 9,272,000 KRW, accounting for 63% of the total payment amount.
Thus, the special sales event "Good Consumption Movement to Help Farms Affected by COVID-19," held 13 times from March 9 to the 16th of this month, has continued its "sold-out march."
So far, a total of 320.2 tons of agricultural specialties have been sold through the special sales events. Total sales amount to approximately 1.42 billion KRW.
