Public Shopping “Surge in Health Food Sales for Family Month”
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] In celebration of May, the 'Month of Family,' sales of health supplements on Gongyoung Shopping have surged significantly.
According to Gongyoung Shopping's sales performance survey conducted from the 11th of last month to the 10th of this month, health supplement sales amounted to approximately 9 billion KRW (based on order amount). This represents an increase of about 48% compared to the same period last year.
With growing interest in health due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the overlap with the Month of Family, sales have surged sharply.
During the same period, sales of Yeoju products soared more than eightfold, gaining great popularity. Krill oil products also sold more than four times as much, and sales of prebiotics for gut health increased by about 1.5 times.
Meanwhile, Gongyoung Shopping is holding a 'Health Supplement Special Exhibition' in celebration of the Month of Family. Every Saturday, health supplements broadcasted will be offered with up to a 10% discount and a 5% reward benefit. These benefits apply to automatic orders and mobile purchases, and eligible products can be checked on the Gongyoung Shopping website on the day of the event.
