[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yuseong Hoon) held a launch ceremony for the Resident Autonomous Quarantine Team on the 14th at the Geumcheon Han-nae Multipurpose Square, organized by the Saemaul Leaders Geumcheon-gu Council.
At the launch ceremony, about 120 people attended, including Mayor Yuseong Hoon, National Assembly member Ki-sang Choi, city and district council members, Saemaul organization leaders, and members. The event included the reading of a resolution and demonstrations of quarantine equipment.
The Resident Autonomous Quarantine Team plans to continue quarantine activities throughout the village until the situation ends to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in the community, following the implementation of the COVID-19 daily quarantine system.

Mayor Yuseong Hoon of Geumcheon-gu stated, “Thanks to the cooperation and voluntary efforts of residents so far, we have been able to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections in the community,” and added, “Since a cluster infection case originating from Itaewon clubs has recently occurred again, we will thoroughly respond to the local spread of COVID-19 through extensive quarantine activities centered on the Resident Autonomous Quarantine Team.”
