Hyundai Department Store Cheonho Branch Closes Early Due to COVID-19 Confirmed Visitor
After the Itaewon Cluster Infection
Already the 3rd Case at Hyundai Department Store
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Hyundai Department Store Cheonho Branch received a notification from the Gangdong-gu Public Health Center around 5 p.m. on the 14th that a confirmed case of COVID-19 had visited, and closed early.
The confirmed case entered through the East Gate on the 1st floor around 2 p.m. on the 9th and visited Kangol and A Shop on the basement 1st floor. The total time spent inside the store was approximately 39 minutes.
After the early closure on the 14th, Hyundai Department Store Cheonho Branch plans to conduct special disinfection with the professional sanitation company CESCO.

Meanwhile, Cheonho Branch is the third case of early closure following the Itaewon cluster infection incident. Chungcheong and Jungdong branches had early closures after employees of tenant brands were infected following visits to Itaewon. Additionally, Lotte Department Store Main Branch also closed early due to brand employee infections.
