Fire at Military Supplies Factory in Gwangju... No Casualties Reported
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] A fire broke out at a military supplies manufacturing factory in Jangnok-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to the Gwangsan Fire Station in Gwangju on the 14th, a fire report was received at around 2:48 PM that day stating, "Black smoke is rising from a factory."
Since there are many other factories nearby and there was concern about the fire spreading, and due to the large amount of rising smoke, the fire authorities issued a "Response Level 1" alert. All personnel and equipment from the Gwangsan Fire Station were dispatched, and the flames were completely extinguished within 18 minutes.
There were no reported casualties.
