Gyeonggi Fire Department Conducts 'Live Fire Training' to Prepare for Large-Scale Special Fires
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters conducted a live fire training exercise to respond to large-scale special fires.
The Special Response Team of the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters announced on the 13th that on the 12th, at the Gyeonggi Fire School training ground located in Namsa-myeon, Yongin City, they conducted a training exercise where they actually set fire at the training site and then extinguished it to improve on-site response capabilities in preparation for the recent increase in large-scale (special) fire incidents.
On that day, the special rescue personnel responded according to their assigned tasks, such as searching for fire points and extinguishing fires in complex buildings, searching for and rescuing people, and tactical smoke ventilation, all in accordance with the simulation.
Before the live fire training, the Special Response Team also conducted theoretical training on understanding special fire phenomena and combustion theory.
