Gyeonggi-do Launches Support Program for Non-Regular Workers' Clubs
[Asia Economy (Uijeongbu) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is expanding opportunities for non-regular workers to enjoy culture and the arts by dividing the region into three zones: Southeast, Southwest, and Northern, and implementing a club support project.
The non-regular workers' club support project is a program that supports clubs composed of non-regular workers who are active or planning to be active in cities and counties within each zone.
If selected for the project, clubs can receive up to 3 million KRW in funding for club operations and cultural event hosting.
Gyeonggi Province will select 8 clubs in the Southeast zone, 16 in the Southwest zone, and 8 in the Northern zone through a public contest this year.
The Southeast zone includes 9 cities and counties such as Suwon, Seongnam, and Anseong; the Southwest zone includes 12 cities and counties such as Ansan, Hwaseong, and Pyeongtaek; and the Northern zone includes 10 cities and counties such as Paju, Uijeongbu, and Pocheon.
Non-regular worker clubs wishing to participate can contact the Suwon Non-Regular Workers Welfare Center (031-548-1888) for the Southeast zone, the Labor Club Support Project Group (031-487-4870) for the Southwest zone, or the Paju Non-Regular Workers Support Center (031-949-0248) for the Northern zone for guidance.
