S-OIL Partners with Gas Stations to Support Local Communities
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] S-OIL is launching the 'Gas Station Sharing N Campaign,' a social contribution activity carried out together with gas stations.
On the 13th, S-OIL announced that it had donated 280 million KRW to the Korea National Council on Social Welfare as part of the 'Gas Station Sharing N Campaign.'
The 'Gas Station Sharing N Campaign' is a community-based social contribution program that utilizes S-OIL gas stations, which are well acquainted with local circumstances, to share warmth with neighbors in need near the gas stations' surrounding welfare facilities. A total of 250 S-OIL gas stations and employees from the sales division participate together, delivering donations to local welfare facilities such as children's centers and facilities for the disabled and elderly, and regularly engage in volunteer activities such as facility cleaning, meal service, and accompanying cultural experiences.
Al-Katani, CEO of S-OIL, said, "Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are walking a path never traveled before, but if we overcome it together, this too shall pass," adding, "Especially in times like these, we want to look out for those in need throughout society and actively practice sharing, which is a core value of S-OIL."
