Seongbuk-gu, Real Estate Brokerage Office Registration Period Shortened from 7 Days to 1 Day
Economic Hardship Relief for Small Business Owners and Self-Employed Due to COVID-19 Spread... Brokerage Office Registration Processing Time Reduced from 7 Days to 1 Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) is implementing a '1-day processing system' that shortens the processing period for real estate brokerage office opening registration from 7 days to 1 day.
For real estate brokerage office opening registration, when a civil petitioner submits an application in person, the district office reviews the legality of the submitted documents and the possibility of opening, conducts background checks, and finally issues the registration certificate. This process currently takes an average of 3.2 days (legal deadline 7 days).
Business owners have expressed difficulties, saying that although they secure offices through lease contracts or other methods, they cannot start immediately, resulting in wasted rent and maintenance costs.
The district office plans to actively utilize various administrative systems and provide smoother and faster services through cooperation with the Korea Association of Realtors to implement the '1-day processing system' for opening registration.
With the implementation of this system, it is expected to prevent economic and time losses for civil petitioners, enable quick opening registration simultaneously with the closure of existing offices, prevent unregistered brokerage activities in advance, and contribute to protecting residents' property rights and fostering a sound real estate brokerage culture.
