Toss 'Naematdae' Joins Hana and SC First Bank in Succession... Partnership Expanded to 16 Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] Viva Republica, the operator of the mobile financial service Toss, announced on the 12th that it has expanded the number of partner companies participating in the ‘Find the Right Loan for Me (Naematdae)’ service to 16, including seven first-tier banks such as Hana Bank.
Naematdae is a service within the Toss application (app) that allows consumers to easily compare the interest rates and limits of credit loan products from 16 banks in the most favorable order by simply entering basic information. A notable feature is that checking does not affect the credit score. It was selected as an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission in May last year and was launched in August of the same year.
As of today, Naematdae has accumulated over 9.6 million loan applications, with a total approved amount of 87 trillion KRW. The executed loan amount has exceeded 460 billion KRW.
At launch, Naematdae allowed comparison of loan products from four institutions: Shinhan, Eugene, Welcome, and OK Savings Bank. Since then, it has significantly expanded its partner financial institutions by adding seven first-tier banks including Hana, SC First Bank, and Korea Citi Bank, as well as five second-tier institutions such as Korea Investment and Daishin Savings Bank.
In the first half of this year, several financial companies including Woori Bank are scheduled to join Naematdae, and the service category will be expanded to include jeonse deposit loans, which are in high demand among financial consumers.
The service is simple to use. Any Toss user aged 23 or older can enter Naematdae from the All tab within the Toss app, complete a simple identity verification and application information input, and then compare and check the loan interest rates and limits reviewed by each financial institution at a glance. The application process is conducted non-face-to-face, and the loan agreement procedure is completed on the webpage of the financial institution offering the product.
