Gangnam-gu Conducts Simultaneous Inspection of 3,392 Air Conditioners in Welfare Facilities Ahead of Summer
Internal Cleaning of Blowers and Filters at 479 Facilities Including Welfare Centers for the Disabled, Senior Centers, and Daycare Centers by May 31
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) will conduct a thorough cleaning of 3,392 air conditioners in welfare facilities within the district by the 31st to prevent COVID-19 infections caused by air circulation.
As welfare facilities gradually reopen following the transition to a daily quarantine system, the district is carrying out extensive air conditioner inspections and cleaning at 479 welfare facilities to prevent COVID-19 infections caused by air circulation.
The inspection targets include 6 comprehensive welfare centers, 54 facilities for the disabled, 37 senior welfare facilities, 163 senior citizen centers, 198 daycare centers, 6 childcare support centers and family health support centers, and 15 facilities for women, children, and youth. These include stand, wall-mounted, and ceiling-type air conditioners, which experts will disassemble and thoroughly clean internally, including blowers, filters, and cooling fins.
