The main theme of the newly opened nut store is the ‘Honey Butter Specialty Hall,’ which is the third store following the Gimpo Airport and Seoul Station branches. The ‘Honey Butter Specialty Hall’ is an upgraded version of the existing stores, offering honey butter almond product lines as well as a free roasting service for customers who purchase regular nuts. Customers who want roasting can leave their purchased nuts and pick them up after 30 minutes.
The World Tower branch, following the Seoul Station and Gimpo Airport branches, is a store with a high proportion of foreign customers and was selected as the third ‘Honey Butter Specialty Hall.’ The store displays series packages decorated in various colors like books in a library, allowing customers to enjoy a variety of flavors at a glance. It currently sells 56 honey butter almond products released so far, along with 34 souvenirs such as notebooks, pencils, and dolls.
Honey butter almonds have established themselves as a must-buy product for foreign tourists visiting Korea, but domestic customer demand is also steadily increasing. In fact, Lotte Mart’s average annual sales of honey butter almonds grew by about 11.3% over three years from 2017 to 2019.
Additionally, the ‘Honey Butter Specialty Hall’ opened in January at the Seoul Station and Gimpo Airport branches has proven the steady popularity of honey butter almonds by generating average sales of over 300 million KRW from January to February at the Seoul Station branch.
To commemorate the opening of the ‘Honey Butter Specialty Hall’ at the Lotte Mart World Tower branch, freshly roasted almonds and peanuts are being sold at up to 30% discount compared to regular prices. There is also a pick-and-mix event where customers can purchase three types of honey butter nuts for 10,000 KRW, and customers who purchase over 20,000 KRW will receive a reusable bag as a gift.
