[Exclusive] Park Gyuri Admits Visiting Itaewon Club Amid COVID-19 Spread: "Reflecting on the Rules We Had to Follow"

View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Park Gyuri, an actress and former member of the group Kara, has acknowledged visiting a club where a confirmed case of COVID-19 was reported and expressed her remorse.
On the 11th, a media outlet reported that Park Gyuri visited an Itaewon club on the same day as a confirmed COVID-19 patient from Yongin City who had also visited the club.
According to the report, footage captured Park Gyuri dancing and enjoying herself to Kara’s songs without wearing a mask. According to the informant, Park Gyuri visited the Itaewon club on the same day as the Yongin City confirmed patient who was infected with COVID-19.
In response, Park Gyuri’s agency stated, "Park Gyuri is currently deeply reflecting and once again offers her apologies," acknowledging the allegations.
They added, "She wore a mask continuously from the time she entered until she left, and on the day the confirmed case article was published, before receiving contact from the district office, she voluntarily visited a screening clinic to get tested immediately. After receiving a negative result, she is currently self-quarantining."
Through her agency, Park Gyuri also apologized, saying, "Regardless of any reasons, I deeply reflect and sincerely apologize for not adhering to the rules that everyone must follow during the social distancing period."
