Jeonnam Creative Economy Innovation Center Holds Award Ceremony for Startup Idea Competition
Five Selected for Self Vacuum Technology Wireless Charging Service and More
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Jeonnam Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (Director Jeong Young-jun, hereinafter Jeonnam Innovation Center) announced on the 11th that it held the '2020 Startup Idea Competition Awards Ceremony' on the 8th, with about 30 young prospective entrepreneurs and related personnel participating.
The Startup Idea Competition was promoted by the Jeonnam Innovation Center to discover prospective entrepreneurs who hope to start a business in Jeonnam Province and possess promising startup items, and to contribute to the activation of youth entrepreneurship in the region.
Thirty-four people applied for the competition, and after document and presentation evaluations, five finalists were selected. The five finalists went through a process of concretizing their business plans and items under the guidance of the Jeonnam Euddeum Startup professional mentor group.
The grand prize of the competition on that day was awarded to Lim Song-bin (office worker) for the theme of 'Self-Vacuum Technology Wireless Charging Service.' The self-vacuum technology wireless charging service is an idea for a non-contact short-range wireless charging method using a self-vacuum method, differentiating it from existing wireless charging services.
The excellence awards went to 'Seasoning Production Using Turmeric' and 'Food Material Development through Small Abalone Processing,' and the encouragement awards were given to 'Coated Pear Snack Development Using Naju Pear' and 'Smart Humidifier Using Small AI,' respectively.
A total of 2.6 million KRW (1 million KRW for the grand prize, 500,000 KRW for the excellence awards, and 300,000 KRW for the encouragement awards) will be awarded to the winners, and the youth who participated in the competition will receive follow-up support such as admission to a bootcamp and mentoring to realize their ideas.
