Jeonnam Science University Selected for Both 'Consortium-Type' and 'Standalone-Type' School Enterprise Support Projects

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Science University (President Lee Euncheol) announced on the 11th that it was selected for both the consortium type and the standalone type in the 3rd phase school enterprise support project competition hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT).
This is the only case nationwide.
In the consortium type, the school enterprises of Jeonnam Science University, ‘BioFlowerTech’ and ‘365BioGreen,’ formed a consortium together with Dream Cheese N School of Korea Cheese Science High School and were selected.
They will carry out programs such as training specialized personnel for the 6th industry based on local community agriculture and receive a total support of 2.25 billion KRW over 5 years. The Departments of Floriculture and Horticulture, Hotel Coffee Cocktail, and Hotel Culinary Kimchi Fermentation of Jeonnam Science University participate.
In the standalone school enterprise support project, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Education Center of Jeonnam Science University was selected.

Kim Daegon, head of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Group at Jeonnam Science University, said, “We will receive a total of 1 billion KRW over 5 years to cultivate convergent drone specialists to support smart agriculture together with the Drone Manufacturing and Operation Department, and enhance students’ employment and start-up capabilities to improve educational satisfaction.”
