The pesticide residue inspection at golf courses is conducted to verify compliance with pesticide usage standards. It tests a total of 28 pesticides, including 3 highly toxic pesticides, 7 pesticides prohibited for use on turf, and 18 general pesticides. If highly toxic pesticides are detected, a fine of up to 10 million KRW will be imposed.
In last year's pesticide residue inspection at golf courses in the province, a total of 7 pesticides were detected, including 6 fungicides and 1 insecticide, but all were pesticides permitted for use on turf. No highly toxic or turf-prohibited pesticides were detected, indicating that golf courses in the province are properly adhering to safe pesticide usage standards.
