President Moon's Approval Rating at 62%... 'Very Good' at 40.3%
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] President Moon Jae-in's approval rating for his administration's performance has remained in the 60% range for three consecutive weeks.
According to a poll conducted by Realmeter on behalf of YTN from the 4th and 6th to 8th, surveying 2,515 people nationwide aged 18 and over (with a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of ±2.0 percentage points), the positive evaluation of President Moon's administration rose by 1.4 percentage points from the previous week to 62.0%, Realmeter announced on the 11th. Among respondents, 40.3% said "doing very well," and 21.7% said "doing well." Negative evaluations decreased by 3.0 percentage points to 32.4%.
By region, approval ratings increased in Gwangju and Jeolla (72.7% → 79.8%) and Daegu and Gyeongbuk (51.3% → 54.6%). By age group, support among those in their 40s rose to the 70% range (67.5% → 70.5%).
In party support surveys, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 43.7%, down 1.5 percentage points from the previous week, while the United Future Party fell 1.9 percentage points to 26.1%, marking its lowest since its founding.
