Additional COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Resident of Yongin Dongbu Centreville Who Visited Itaewon Club
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] A resident of Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, who visited an Itaewon club in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, has been additionally confirmed as a COVID-19 case.
On the 11th, Yongin City announced that Mr. B (Yongin-69), residing in Dongbu Centreville Apartment, Sinbong-dong, Suji-gu, who visited the Itaewon club, was newly registered as a COVID-19 confirmed patient.
Mr. B was asymptomatic but visited a club in Itaewon on the 5th, underwent specimen collection at the Suji-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 10th, and received a positive COVID-19 notification from the private testing agency GC Green Cross on the same day.
Yongin City reported the confirmed case to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and requested the designation of an isolation bed from Gyeonggi Province.
It has been confirmed that Mr. B currently lives with his parents.
The city plans to transfer the patient once an isolation bed is designated, collect specimens from cohabiting family members, and disinfect both the interior and exterior of the residence as well as major movement paths.
Additionally, once the epidemiological investigator's results are available, contacts will be quarantined, and information within the scope of disclosure such as movement paths will be provided to citizens.

Meanwhile, as of 8 a.m. on the same day, Yongin City reported a total of 86 confirmed cases, including 69 registered within the city and 17 registered outside. Among them, 71 have been discharged.
