The Gwangju Southern Police Station announced on the 11th that they have booked and are investigating A (62) on charges of assault leading to death (murder).
A is accused of strangling B (56), an acquaintance, to death around 8 p.m. the previous day in a park in Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
A reportedly hid B’s body in nearby bushes and surrendered to the police about an hour later, stating that they had argued over financial issues.
The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for A.
Earlier, on the 9th, the police applied for an arrest warrant for C (42), who assaulted and killed an acquaintance while riding in a taxi after a quarrel.
C is accused of assaulting and killing D (42) on a road in Seo-gu around 12:20 a.m. that day.
C reportedly continued to assault D after the taxi stopped, even after getting out onto the road following a verbal dispute inside the taxi.
