Kyungbok University to Begin 'Limited Face-to-Face Classes' from the 11th
[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kyungbok University will begin "limited face-to-face classes" focusing on courses that require practical training starting from the 11th.
Kyungbok University announced on the 10th that it has finalized the first semester academic schedule, which combines optional face-to-face classes and online classes starting from the 11th, after conducting online classes for nine weeks since the semester began on March 16.
According to the revised academic schedule, a total of 19 weeks of classes will be held from the 11th of this month, including optional face-to-face and online classes. The semester will end on July 24. Summer vacation will be from July 27 to September 4, and the second semester will begin on September 7.
A Kyungbok University official explained, "We plan to designate face-to-face courses by department and proceed step-by-step, while allowing students who find it difficult to attend face-to-face classes to optionally participate online."

Meanwhile, ahead of the face-to-face classes, Kyungbok University has formed a COVID-19 infection prevention task force and is maintaining close cooperation with the Namyangju Public Health Center by preparing a face-to-face class manual that includes disinfecting all buildings and lecture/practice rooms, controlling access and installing thermal cameras by building, providing hand sanitizers in each building, supplying face masks to all faculty, staff, and students, enforcing social distancing on campus, ensuring dormitory safety control, implementing a safe boarding system for free shuttle buses, and establishing a safety reporting system for individuals with abnormal symptoms.
