Haenam-gun Publishes 77 Cases of Policy Real-Name System on Website
Real Names of Policy Participants and Verification of Project Implementation Process Available
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that it held a Policy Real-Name System Deliberation Committee meeting on the 24th of last month, selecting 77 projects and disclosing them on the county website.
The Policy Real-Name System is a system designed to enhance the transparency and accountability of policies by disclosing project names, background, and the names of those in charge. It focuses on projects with a total budget of 500 million KRW or more, research services costing 50 million KRW or more, and major projects closely related to residents' lives. A total of 77 projects were selected as key management target projects.
The selected projects include 73 major projects such as the construction of the Ttangkkeut Family Harmony Center, establishment of the Returning Farmers and Fishermen Rural Stay Support Center, construction of rural public bathhouses (Samsan, Songji), pilot projects for heatwave countermeasures, urban regeneration projects, Rural New Vitality Plus projects, and Haenam-gun’s aged water supply network maintenance project, as well as 4 research service projects including the establishment of Haenam-gun Comprehensive Development Plan and the basic plan for the creation of a complex leisure theme park.
Not only the real names of policy participants but also the policy implementation process will be disclosed. The list can be checked on the Haenam-gun website under Information Disclosure Policy Real-Name System.

A Haenam-gun official stated, “We plan to designate the last month of each quarter (June, September, December) as the application period for the National Application Real-Name System to select target projects,” and added, “We will enhance residents’ interest and expand participation in the policy process to further strengthen the transparency and accountability of policies.”
