The Sister of a 20s COVID-19 Confirmed Patient Who Visited Itaewon Club Also Tests Positive for COVID-19

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Following a man in his 20s living in Incheon who tested positive for COVID-19 after visiting a club in Itaewon, Seoul, his older sister has also been confirmed positive in a COVID-19 test.
On the 8th, Incheon City announced that they urgently transferred B (29, female), the older sister of A (22, male), who was confirmed positive after visiting the King Club in Itaewon on May 2, 3, and 5, to Incheon Medical Center and disinfected her residence and other locations.
B was classified as a contact of A and underwent a specimen test at the Bupyeong District Public Health Center screening clinic on the same day, confirming her positive diagnosis. Their parents, who had contact with A, tested negative and entered self-quarantine.
Incheon City is conducting an epidemiological investigation to determine if there are additional contacts besides A and B, and will announce the results once available.
