Suncheon-si, Full Resumption of Tourist Attractions and Facility Operations
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 8th that it will fully resume the operation of tourist facilities that had been closed and indoor facilities shut down since the end of February to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As the government’s quarantine guidelines have shifted to ‘social distancing in daily life,’ the city plans to resume facility operations while strengthening quarantine measures.
The indoor facilities at Nagan Eupseong Folk Village and the drama filming site, which had been closed, were reopened on the 23rd and 25th of last month respectively, and the indoor facilities at Suncheonman National Garden and Suncheonman Bay Wetland will open from the 11th.
The Rooted Tree Museum and Christian History Museum, which had been closed, began operations on the 6th, and the Traditional Wild Tea Experience Center, tourist information centers, and tourist guide services will all start operating from the 9th.
Suncheon City is preparing to thoroughly enforce ‘social distancing in daily life’ rules by checking visitors’ temperatures, providing hand sanitizers, urging visitors to refrain from visiting if not wearing masks, and preparing for an increase in tourists.
