Gwangju Seo-gu Selected for 'Early Childhood Culture and Arts Education Support Project' for 2 Consecutive Years
Operation of the Children's Ecology Learning Library 'Sagyejeol Nature Art Playground' Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) announced on the 8th that the ‘Children's Ecological Learning Library’ has been selected for the ‘2020 Early Childhood Culture and Arts Education Support Project’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Gwangju City, and organized by the Gwangju Culture and Arts Education Support Center.
The Early Childhood Culture and Arts Education Support Project is a program that develops and supports early childhood culture and arts education programs using the unique content of local cultural facilities.
The Seo-gu Children's Ecological Learning Library has been selected for the second consecutive year following last year and will receive 50 million won in project funds.
Through the competition, the Children's Ecological Learning Library plans to form a consortium with Mayi, a children's nature education specialist organization, and operate the ‘Four Seasons Nature Art Playground Program’ targeting daycare centers and kindergartens in Seo-gu.
The Four Seasons Nature Art Playground Program is a play-centered integrated art activity linking the picture books of the Children's Ecological Learning Library with the eco-friendly ecological resources of Pungam Life Sports Park, designed to enhance young children's creative artistic sensitivity.
