Naju City-Korea Internet & Security Agency Hold Direct Trade Market to Support Flower Farmers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 7th that it held a 'Direct Flower Market' for local flower farms as part of overcoming the COVID-19 crisis, together with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
This event was prepared thanks to the active participation intention of KISA executives and employees to share the pain of local flower farms struggling due to the reduction or cancellation of various events such as entrance and graduation ceremonies and weddings since February, caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The direct transaction market held in the lobby on the first floor of KISA sold seven types (260 items) of flowers, including carnations for Parents' Day, kalanchoe, geranium, and nancy, at prices cheaper than the market.
It also received great response from the executives and employees, and most of the quantity was sold out.
A city official said, "The bright smiles like flowers shown by KISA executives and employees at the direct transaction market will be remembered as a great impression to local flower farmers," and added, "We will continue to strive for cooperation and communication for mutual development between public institutions and the local community."
