Musical 'Rent, Mozart!, Broadway 42nd Street' Online Talk Concert
Interpark YouTube Talk Concert 'Cheer Up! Performance' from 18th to 20th
[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] Interpark and Blue Square will support the performing arts community affected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) with a YouTube live event titled "Cheer Up! Performance," which will be broadcast live every day at 8 PM from June 18 to 20 on the YouTube channel "PlayDB."
This YouTube live event, streamed through the PlayDB channel operated by Interpark's performance portal magazine, will be held without an audience at Blue Square iMarket Hall. It will feature a talk concert and live performances where viewers can preview major musicals scheduled to open in the second half of the year.
On the 18th, the musical "Rent" team, returning after 9 years, will appear. Actors Oh Jong-hyuk, Jang Ji-hoo, Ivy, Kim Soo-ha, Jung Won-young, Min Kyung-ah, Jung Da-hee, and Broadway collaborative director Andy Se?or Jr. will share stories about the performance and perform musical numbers live.
On the 19th, actors from the musical "Mozart!" celebrating its 10th anniversary this year will perform. Audiences can enjoy famous numbers loved every season, such as "I Am I Am Music" and "Golden Star," known for their beautiful music.
The third live performance on the 20th is the show musical "Broadway 42nd Street," which has been loved for 24 years. Set against Broadway, the story depicts a girl dreaming of becoming a musical actress who rises to stardom. Actors Lee Jong-hyuk, Yang Jun-mo, Choi Jung-won, Jung Young-joo, Hong Ji-min, Oh So-yeon, and Seo Kyung-soo will appear.
Interpark plans to donate 50 won per cumulative video view of the "Cheer Up! Performance" YouTube live to help neighbors struggling due to COVID-19. Detailed donation amounts and records will be disclosed on Interpark Ticket's Instagram after the final cumulative view count is tallied by May 30.
This live broadcast was organized to support the performing arts community enduring the prolonged COVID-19 crisis and to revitalize the second half of the year. Interpark, Blue Square, Shinse Company, EMK Musical Company, CJ ENM, and others participated, with DB Insurance sponsoring the event.

An event allowing viewers to submit questions in advance to the actors appearing in the "Cheer Up! Performance" YouTube live will also be held. Participants can leave questions about the performances and actors on Interpark Ticket's Instagram. Selected participants will receive chicken, Americano gifticons, and ticket books through a draw. The chosen questions will be answered directly by the actors.
