View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Go Dallyoung] The Jinan-gun Village Secretary Council in Jeonbuk (Chairman Shim Hyojin) announced on the 7th that they conducted various volunteer activities while touring 11 villages where village secretaries and clerks were assigned.
The village volunteer activities started on the 20th of last month, beginning with the Hwanggeum area in Bugwi-myeon, and have been carried out in four villages so far, including Sanggamak Village in Jinan-eup, Gamdong Village in Yongdam-myeon, and Podong Village in Seongsu-myeon.
In the Hwanggeum area of Bugwi-myeon, they removed weeds and sowed flower seeds at the area center; in Sanggamak Village, they performed weeding in flower beds and cleaned around the village hall; in Gamdong Village of Yongdam-myeon, they picked up trash along the Geumgang River; and in Podong Village of Seongsu-myeon, they conducted blanket washing volunteer activities.

Cha Cheoljong, the general secretary of the Village Secretary Council, said, “We feel rewarded to be able to help amid difficulties in community activities due to the aging of rural villages,” and added, “We will continue to promote volunteer activities in the remaining seven villages until the second half of the year.”
