[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] HiteJinro is continuing its recent upward trend, hitting a 52-week high.
As of 9:56 AM on the 4th, HiteJinro was trading at 32,950 KRW, up 1.54% (500 KRW) from the previous trading day. During the session, it rose to 33,450 KRW, setting a new 52-week high.
Jeongwook Kim, a researcher at Meritz Securities, stated in a report, “According to a fact-check market share survey at the forefront of the Yeouido and Gangnam liquor markets, Terra holds 70.7%, and Chamisul + Jinro combined hold 75.5%,” adding, “The expansion of market share by liquor companies is a key factor in earnings growth and an important point for investment decisions.”
HiteJinro’s beer “Terra” sold 2.8 million boxes in January this year and has maintained monthly sales exceeding 2 million boxes even during the COVID-19 period. For soju “Jinro,” monthly sales have exceeded 1 million boxes following 1.3 million boxes sold in January.
