LGU+ Launches LTE Online-Only Plan Without Contract Commitment
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Uplus is launching the first no-contract LTE online-only plan among telecom companies. The product is approximately 13~23.5% cheaper than existing plans.
LG Uplus announced on the 3rd that it will exclusively sell the no-contract LTE plan "LTE Direct," which has no complicated conditions such as contracts or bundling, through its official online shopping mall U+Shop until June 30.
LTE Direct provides 5GB of data daily, up to a maximum of 155GB per month (based on 31 days). After using the daily basic data of 5GB, unlimited data usage is available at a speed of 5Mbps. This is an online-only no-contract plan.
Additionally, users can separately use 10GB of tethering data per month, and voice calls (including 300 minutes of additional calls) and messaging services are also provided. The monthly fee is 55,000 KRW, about 20% cheaper than the existing LTE69 plan.

LTE Direct can only be subscribed to through U+Shop, and bundling discounts, optional contracts, official subsidies, and membership benefits are not applicable, except for welfare discounts.
