[Photo] Dasan Children's Park Renovated with Five-Colored Flowers
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Sindang 5-dong Community Center in Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Seoyangho) renovated Dasan Children's Park with colorful flowers on the 24th of last month, offering a fragrant spring scent to passing residents.
This is a welcome gift for Sindang 5-dong residents in celebration of Family Month in May.
On that day, about 10 residents of Sindang 5-dong participated in the flower planting work, sweating as they worked. Wave petunias were planted on the park railings, and about 2,400 spring flowers including poppies, Demorohoseca, begonias, and impatiens were planted in the entrance flowerpots, brightening the park. The planted flowers are expected to bloom fully in May and reach their peak through the summer.
The flower planting project was proposed directly by residents and realized as part of the 'Our Neighborhood Where We Want to Walk, Wherever You Go (garden) Neighborhood Garden' project selected through last year's residents' general meeting.
Sindang 5-dong is creating charming neighborhood gardens by planting flower seedlings not only in Dasan Children's Park but also along major village sections such as Sindang 5-dong daycare centers, Seongdong High School commuting routes, and Saemaeul Garden.
