Commissioner Mike Whan announced, "The 2020 season will resume starting July 15 at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational." He explained, "There is still no clear sign that it is safe to play amid the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)," and "We created the new schedule considering government travel bans and testing availability."

Following the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, some tournament dates have been changed, including the Marathon Classic on the 23rd and the ShopRite Classic on the 31st. The five majors are scheduled in the following order: August 6 - Evian Championship, August 20 - Women's British Open, September 10 - ANA Inspiration, October 8 - KPMG Women's PGA Championship, and December 10 - U.S. Women's Open.
